Ike Turner died
of a cocaine overdose
The San Diego County Medical
Examiner's Office's report says Ike Turner died of a cocaine
overdose.
According
to the report by the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office,
the cause of death for Ike Turner was a cocaine overdose.
"The cause of death for Ike Turner is cocaine toxicity with
other significant conditions," was the official statement
made by Medical Examiner Investigator Paul Parker. Hypertensive
cardiovascular disease and pulmonary emphysema were the other
conditions which played a significant role in the death of the
musician. Turner's death would likely be ruled accidental, said
Parker, although an official announcement has not yet been made.
Ike Turner died on December 12th at age 76.
Ike Turner, infamous with the abuse of
former wife Tina Turner, had regrettably admitted in the past
the he uses drugs, mainly to stay awake and handle the non-stop
touring during his rock n' roll years.
