was found death on Tuesday at an apartment in New York City.

actor Heath Ledger was found death at an apartment in a
Manhattan apartment on Tuesday. According to the police, Ledger
was found naked in bed with sleeping pills nearby, but at this
point it is unknown if the death was a suicide attempt,
incidental overdose or else. Heath Ledger had scheduled an
appointment for a massage at around 3:30, but when the massage
therapist arrived, Ledger failed to answer the door and a
housekeeper let the therapist in, who found the motionless body
of the 28-year-old actor. According to the medical examiner's
office, an autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday, although Heath
Ledger's body was not removed from the building at press time.
According to unconfirmed reports, Heath
Ledger was found death at 421 Broome St. in Soho, at an
apartment allegedly owned by Mary-Kate Olsen. At the time of
Ledger's death the Olsen twin was in California. Heath Ledger
was married to actress Michelle Williams, whom he met at the set
of "Brokeback Mountain". Michelle Williams played his wife in
the film and two had a daughter, now 2-year-old Matilda, and
lived together in Brooklyn until they split up last year. Heath
Ledge was nominated for an Oscar for his performance as a gay
cowboy in "Brokeback Mountain".
