Barack Obama now
the favorite to become the next U.S. President
After winning the caucuses in
Nebraska and Washington state and the primary in Louisiana,
Barack Obama is now listed as the favorite to win the 2008
Elections.
Democratic
presidential candidate Barack Obama, who won the caucuses in
Nebraska and Washington state and the primary in Louisiana on
Saturday, has now become the favorite candidate to become the
next U.S. President. At the online sportsbook
Bodog Sports, the odds on Obama
to win the 2008 Elections are sitting at 6/5, edging on both
comrade Hillary Clinton (5/2) and GOP rival John McCain (7/4).
At the bookmaker, Obama is now the undisputed favorite to win
the Democratic nomination with odds 4/7 and the odds on Hillary
Clinton were lengthened to 5/4, despite the fact that, according
to CNN, Clinton is leading Obama with about 100 delegates so
far.
On the Republican side, John McCain
continues to be referred to as the ultimate GOP favorite. At
Bodog his odds to win the Republican party nominations are
listed as 1/30, meaning punters have to risk 3000 to win 100.
Mike Huckabee, who took Kansas and Louisiana on Saturday, is
still in the game, but with odds 16/1, Huckabee is far behind
McCain. Mike Huckabee holds odds of 40/1 to win the presidential
race and Ron Paul is listed with odds 150/1, which leaves John
McCain, with odds 7/4, the only real contender from the GOP side
of the spectrum.
