Rapper Juvenile's
daughter among victims of Atlanta shooting
The 4-year-old daughter of
rapper Juvenile among three victims of Metro Atlanta shooting.
A
17-year-old boy has been arrested and charged with the murder of
his mother and her two daughters in the Metro Atlanta town of
Lawrenceville, Georgia. One of the victims of the shooting was
the 4-year-old daughter of hip-hop star Juvenile. According to
police, 17-year-old Anthony Terrell fatally shot his mother, Joy
Deleston Thursday night, and her two daughters 11-year-old
Micaiah and 4-year-old Jelani. The mother Joy Deleston was a
Gwinnett County sheriff's deputy, and the 4-year-old Jelani was
daughter of rapper Juvenile (real name Terius Gray). Deleston
brought a paternity lawsuit against Juvenile in 2004, the case
was settled with both parties agreeing Jelani was Juvenile's
daughter.
At this time the motive behind the
murders is unknown. The police was called to the Metro Atlanta
neighborhood after reports of shots fired. On entering the
house, the three bodies were discovered. Anthony Terrell arrived
at the house about 30 minutes later and was arrested after
talking to the police, but the authorities declined to elaborate
further. The gun used in the shooting was found on Friday, going
by information provided by Terrell. Because of his age,
prosecutors cannot seek the death penalty against Terrell. A
preliminary hearing will be set next week in Gwinnett County
Superior Court, said prosecutor Danny Porter.
