FA Cup:
Manchester United loses to Portsmouth 0-1
In
a dramatic quarter-final FA Cup battle Portsmouth ended the
participation of Manchester United with 0-1 victory. With only
12 minutes left on the clock, Sulley Muntari scored the winning
goal from the penalty marker, after Milan Baros was upended by
United's substitute keeper Tomasz Kuszczak. The Manchester
United goal keeper, who replaced van der Sar at half-time, was
sent off and Rio Ferdinand took over. United went all in to
score an equalizer, but Muntari's goal was good enough to give
Portsmouth the FA Cup quarter-final victory and send Manchester
United home, disappointing thousands of punters worldwide.
Following Portsmouth's FA Cup victory,
the U.K. bookmaker
