The former tabloid editor, often described as "evil" and "ruthless" won the Celebrity Apprentice, beating 13 other stars for the crown. During the last night's final live episode it was revealed that Piers Morgan managed to raise $250,000 more than any other contestant, for the total of half a million raised for charity, but not without some help. American Idol contestant and friend Simon Cowell spent $100,000 for a shopping trip with Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka and Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York offered afternoon tea with her as an auction prize. Despite the boos from the audience, Piers Morgan was named the winner of Celebrity Apprentice.

"You’re a vicious guy, I’ve seen it. You can try and dispute it. You’re tough, you’re smart, you’re probably brilliant, I’m not sure. You’re certainly not diplomatic. But you did an amazing job and you beat the hell out of everybody. And you won by far more than anybody," Donald Trump, known for his ruthless business practices, told the winner of Celebrity Apprentice, which could also be considered a compliment to Piers Morgan.

The fact that Piers Morgan won the Celebrity Apprentice is now enjoyed by many punters world-wide. Although often called a jerk during the show, he was always one of the top favorite contestants to win the Apprentice. The online sportsbook BodogLife posted odds on the Celebrity Apprentice before the start of the show and Morgan was listed at 9/1 as the possible winner. The ultimate favorite was Gene Simmons of Kiss with odds 9/2, followed by Omarosa at 5/1 and Carol Alt at 8/1, then Piers Morgan.
