CNN anchor
Richard Quest arrested for drug possession
CNN
anchor/reporter Richard Quest was arrested on Friday, after
police found a small bag of methamphetamine in his pocket.
According to reports, Richard Quest was stopped by the NYPD in
Central Park for violating the park curfew on Friday and was
arrested for possession of a controlled substance, after the
cops found a small quantity of meth in his pocket. The Central
Park curfew starts at 1:00 am, while Quest was stopped in the
park at around 3:30 am and the drugs were discovered in the
subsequent standard search.
A New York judge ordered Richard Quest,
a CNN anchor and business reporter, to undergo six months of
counseling and in exchange the judge promised to drop the charge
if the therapy is successful. The agreement between the parties
came after Quest was charged with a misdemeanor possession of
methamphetamine and an extra charge of loitering for breaking
the curfew. Richard Quest is a quite popular face to the viewers
of CNN International, where he hosts "CNN Business Traveler", as
well as "Quest", his own feature program.
