Hulk Hogan's son
Nick Bollea gets 8 months in jail
Nick
Bollea, son of former wrestler Hulk Hogan, was sentenced to 8
months in jail plus probation for his reckless driving leading
to an accident last year. Nick Bollea Hogan was sentenced today
to eight months behind bars and was led off to begin his
sentence immediately. He will also have to be on five years of
probation, lose his driving license for three years and 500
hours of community service. The 17-year-old son of former
pro-wrestler Hulk Hogan entered an "open plea" today and after
hearing testimony from the Graziano family, the judge ruled on
the case. The jail plus probation sentence came as part of the
plea agreement - Nick Bollea was initially facing a maximum
sentence of 5 years behind bars. Hulk Hogan's son also avoided
felony conviction on his record once he turns 18 later this
summer.
The accident which lead to jail time for
Nick Bollea happened in August of 2007, when the young Hogan was
behind the wheel of his Toyota Supra when he lost control and
slammed into a palm tree near downtown Clearwater. The accident
seriously injured both Nick Hogan and his passenger, John
Graziano, who remains in a coma. "What Al-Qaeda couldn't do to
my son, [Nick Bollea] did," said Edward Grazian, the father of
John Graziano, who was a Marine.
