Tampa Bay
Buccaneers vs. Dallas Cowboys: Point spread and odds
It's the time of the week to look at the point spread and
betting odds on the upcoming NFL games, starting with the Tampa
Bay Buccaneers vs. Dallas Cowboys Sunday NFL Week 8 game.
Following a shocking loss last week against the Rams, the Dallas
Cowboys (4-3) are without star quarterback Tony Romo once again
and despite playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-2) at home are
only a slight favorite.
Looking at the latest NFL odds and point
spread numbers posted by the online sportsbook
Bookmaker, we see the Cowboys
holding odds of just -130, while the Buccaneers will be a small
underdog with odds +110 to win the Saturday game. The Tampa
Bay Buccaneers vs. Dallas Cowboys point spread is currently
sitting at just -2 points chalk the Cowboys with the total
expected by the bookmakers at -40.5 points. Keep in mind that
according to the most recent NFL betting trends, Tampa Bay is
5-1 against the spread in its last 6 games, but 2-4 against the
spread in its last 6 games when playing the Cowboys. Dallas,
meanwhile, is 0-5 against the spread in its last 5 games at home
and the total has gone UNDER in 5 of Dallas's last 6 games when
playing Tampa Bay.
Injuries appear to plague both teams for
their NFL Week 8 game, obviously the Cowboys in worse shape with
Tony Romo absent from Thursday practice and rumor has it he will
not return until mid-November. Cowboys running back Felix Jones,
cornerback Terence Newman and linebacker Anthony Spencer also
missed Thursday practice, but the rest of the team appears to be
in good shape for Sunday. Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver
Maurice Stovall missed practice yesterday, along with running
back B.J. Askew, while Warrick Dunn, quarterback Brian Griese
and wide receivers Joey Galloway and Ike Hilliard did a limited
one on Thursday.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Dallas
Cowboys game will start on Sunday at 1:00pm EST from Texas
Stadium.
