Online poker: brought to you by Yahoo
The fact that online
poker was made illegal by the US Congress last year does not
stop American companies to offer real money online poker to
other countries.
The
California-based Yahoo Inc. announced that its U.K. based portal
(yahoo.co.uk) is offering play for cash online poker room,
powered by the Gibraltar licensed St Minver Limited and software
by BOSS Media. American players are barred from playing online
poker at the portal, and limits of 1000 pound/euros are placed
for any 10-day period to help curve compulsive gambling.
St Minver Limited
provides white label solutions for many clients, among which are
Yahoo, Virgin Games Bingo and Interactive Investor. Stocks of
the Sweden based BOSS Media (Stockholm:BOSS.ST) reached 52 weeks
high at 16.20kr and closed at 15.80kr, a 4.64% gain since open.
