American Idol: Final Four Odds
Another installment of the
most popular TV show American Idol is coming up tomorrow.
Over the past two weeks, over
135 million votes were cast to see who would make the final
four. Last week’s unprecedented double vote-off was the result
of previous week’s Idol Gives Back special, in which no
contestants were voted off in the spirit of charity.
The final 4 contestants on the
American Idol are Blake Lewis, Jordin Sparks, Lakisha Jones and
Melinda Doolittle.
We look at
Bodog Sports, the online
betting website with best odds for entertainment wagering, to
see who the bookmakers think has the best chances of winning the
American Idol. And Jordin Sparks seems to be the undisputed
favorite with betting odds 1/1, followed by Melinda Doolittle
with 7/5, Blake Lewis with odds 7/2 and the underdog for the
sixth American Idol is Lakisha Jones with odds 12/1.
Jordin Sparks is 17,
former Overall Spotlight Winner at the 2004 GMA Academy, however
she received some of her worst critiques last week by the
judges.
Melinda Doolittle, 29,
former Nashville backup singer, seems to be the crowd's favorite
and overall she has only received one negative comment, which
judges admit was not that terrible.
Lakisha Jones is a
27-year old single mother from Fort Meade, Maryland and blew the
judges away with her rendition of Aretha Franklin's "Think".
Blake Lewis is 25
year-old and quickly became one of the favorites among the
American Idol, season 6 contestants. Blake is from Bothell,
Washington. There is a rumor going on that the former contender
in the American Idol Antonella Barba may have a little love
connection going on with Blake Lewis, according to People
magazine.
