UFC News: The next UFC fights and odds of winning

Now that the  UFC 71 is behind us, we can take a breather and look at the upcoming MMA fights from the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

UFC News: The next UFC fights and odds of winningThe earliest we can watch two guys beat the living hell out of each other is on June 12th for the UFC Fight Night - Sam Stout vs. Spencer Fisher. You can watch this fight on Spike at 9pm EST. Sam "Hands of Stone" Stout is the 23-year-old Canadian who lost The Ultimate Fighter 3 Finale in 2006 against Kenny Florian, but won against Spencer Fisher for the UFC 58: USA vs. Canada in March last year. Spencer "The King" Fisher obviously will have plenty to revenge and would do his best to open an can of whoopass on Stout. Fisher has fought once this year, in January and lost against Hermes Franca in a UFC Fight Night. Betting odds for this fight have not been released yet.

The serious business will start on June 16th with the UFC 72: Victory fight between Rich Franklin and Yushin Okami. The UFC 72 Victory will start at 3pm EST on Pay-Per-View at Odyssey Arena in Northern Ireland. The Ohio-born Rich "Ace" Franklin  won his only 2007 fight against Jason MacDonald for the UFC 68: The Uprising. Yushin Okami has been on a winning streak beating his opponents in his last four fights. Okami fought in 2007 and won the UFC 69: Shottout against Mike Swick.

The odds for the UFC 72: Victory are -210 for Rich Franklin and + 170, you can bet on the fight at Bookmaker (new window).

The UFC closes June with the The Ultimate Fighter 5 Finale on the 23rd at The Pearl, Nevada, with the fight between Jens "Little Evil" Pulver and BJ "The Prodigy" Penn. You can watch the fight on Spike at 9pm EST. "Little Evil" Pulver must be pretty rusty, his last fight was last year, which he lost K.O. to Joe Lauzon, and his previous UFC fight was in 2002. "The Prodigy" Penn lost his last two UFC fights in 2006, both in the third round. The betting odds for this fight by Bookmaker are +365 for Pulver and -515 for Penn.
