French Open:
Serena Williams wins, Venus loses
Only one of the Williams
sisters reached round 4 of the 2007 French-Open and it was
Serena.
Serena
Williams is the only U.S. player left in the French Open, after
her sister Venus Williams lost to Jelena Jankovic 6-4, 4-6, 6-1.
It was the second straight year that Venus Williams was
eliminated in the 3rd round in the French capital. All nine men
in the French Open were eliminated in round one.
Serena won over Michaella Krajicek 6-3, 6-4
but the victory did not improve her odds of winning the 2007
French Open. The British
bookmaker Bet365 increased her
odds and she is now third favorite to win with betting odds of
5.50. Bet on Jankovic will also multiply your money by the same
coefficient.
Justine Henin continues to be the bookmaker's
favorite with odds of 2.40 to win the Roland Garros. Henin
played against Mara Santangelo in the 3rd round and won 6-2,
6-3.
