Title: Sultan Ibragimov vs. Shannon Briggs
Tomorrow is the boxing
match between Ibragimov and Briggs for the WBO Heavyweight
Title.
On Saturday, June 2nd, Sultan Ibragimov and
Shannon Briggs will meet in Atlantic City, New Jersey, to
exchange punches for the World Boxing Organization (WBO)
Heavyweight Title; the boxing match starts at 10:00pm EST.
Ibragimov is the favorite to win the fight,
with betting odds of -170 by the online bookmaker

Shannon Briggs, the current WBO champ, odds of winning this
year's Heavyweight are +140.
Shannon Briggs had his first
professional fight in 1992, and the 35-year-old Brooklyn boxer
won last year's title, scoring a stunning knockout victory over
WBO heavyweight champion Sergei Liakhovich, in the last second
of the last round. Shannon Briggs was initially scheduled to
defend his title on March 10th against Ibragimov, but Briggs
pulled out of the fight because he was diagnosed with "aspirational
pneumonia" and the fight was be rescheduled for June 2nd.
Shannon Briggs has a total of 53 fights on his
boxing record, with 48 wins (42 of which by KO), 4 losses and
one draw.
Sultan Ibragimov is ranked number 3 in
the WBO Heavyweight rankings. The Russian boxer fought against
Javier Mora at Madison Square Gardens in New York Match 10th,
after the WBO fight cancellation. Ibragimov knocked out Mora 46
seconds into the first round and broke the record for the
quickest knockout in a main event in Madison Square Garden,
which was previously held by Lee Savold in 1948. Sultan
Ibragimov's boxing card is now 20-0-1.
