Pacman Jones
sought by police in connection with shooting
The NFL player Adam Pacman-Jones
is wanted by the Atlanta police in connection with a shooting
early Monday in Atlanta.
The
suspended Tennessee Titans "Pacman" Jones is not a suspect in
the shooting, according to the police, but he could provide a
valuable information to the investigators. Neither Jones, nor
his manager have talked to the police, but the NFL star released
a statement denying his involvement in the accident.
The shooting in question happened a
little after 4:00am in Clayton County, Georgia. According to a
witness, Pacman Jones and his entourage were at a local strip
club when an argument between the Jones' men and another group
of three individuals erupted over a dancer from the club.
According to the witness, Pacman Jones threatened that he will
be back with a gun, climbed into a black Escalade and
disappeared.
But when the three men, with whom Jones
argued earlier, left the club in their vehicle, they were
ambushed by two vehicles of Jones entourage who opened fire at
them, according to the victims. They told the police they
returned the fire in self-defense. Only minor injuries have been
reported as a result of the Atlanta shooting.
Pacman Jones have been arrested five
times since he was drafted in 2005. The Tennessee Titans future
odds to win the 2008 Super Bowl are 38/1 according to oddsmaker
