Royal Ascot: Miss
Andretti wins the King's Stand Stakes
Australian triumph as three of
the top four horses were from Down Under, including the winner
of the King's Stand Stakes, Miss-Andretti.
Trainer
Lee Freedman was more than happy to see Miss Andretti with
jockey Craig Newitt crossing the finish 2,35 seconds faster than
last year's winner Takeover Target, setting a record for taking
the 5 furlong course faster than any other horse before in a
race for the King's Stand Stakes at the Royal Ascot.
Takeover Target finished fourth this year. And Bentley Biscuit
finished last despite the expectations before the race. Dandy
Man finished second and third was Magnus.
The U.K. online betting website
Bet365 had the odds on Miss
Andretti to win at the Royal Ascot at 10/3, making it the
favorite for the online bookie. The second Dandy Man had odds of
81/ and Magnus would have paid out 16/1. Bentley Biscuit held
the odds of 7/1.
