to re-sign with the Detroit Pistons
The NBA All-Star player
Chauncey Billups will sign a five-year contract with the Detroit
Pistons.
According
to Sports Illustrated, the Detroit Pistons secured the point
guard Chauncey Billups for five years on Thursday, a contract
worth $60 million. NBA prevents contract announcements before
July 11th, therefore to source of the news remains anonymous.
The Pistons main goal has been securing
the basketball player, after Billups became a free agent on July
1st, leaving before the last year of his previous six-year
contract. The former captain of the Detroit Pistons was the 2004
NBA Finals MVP.
