Bill Maas arrested
on drug and gun charges
The former football player and
currently Fox Sports broadcaster, Bill Maas, was arrested in
Illinois on Friday.
Another name added to the long list of current and former NFL
players, this time Bill Maas (William Thomas Maas), was busted
by the cops following a roadside check in Illinois.
The 45-year-old Maas, and a female
passenger Sarah J. Murphy, 27, were pulled over in his Hummer on
routine roadside check in Peoria, Ill, on Friday. According to
the police report, Maas seemed nervous, but agreed to a search
of the Hummer. During the search of the vehicle, the police
found .22-caliber revolver, some marijuana, cocaine and 28 pills
of Ecstasy. Bill Maas was charged with drug possession and
weapons, and his passenger Sarah Murphy with drug possession
only. Bill Maas and Sarah Murphy are both residents of Lee's
Summit, MO.
Bill Mass is currently working as
commentator for Fox Sports. Maas was a defensive tackle for the
Kansas City Chiefs and the Green Bay Packers. In 1984 Maas was
named The NFL Rookie of the Year by the AP.
