Mark Cuban wants
to buy the Chicago Cubs
The Mavericks' owner Mark
Cuban has taken his interest in the Chicago Cubs a step further.
Mark
Cuban, the Dallas Mavericks basketball team and Indiana
University grad, has applied to Major League Baseball as a next
step in his interest in buying the Chicago Cubs. The billionaire
declined to comment the future proceedings, or if a possible
sell of the Mavericks could take place, if he gets the Cubs.
But Mark Cuban is just one of the six
candidates rumored to have expressed an interest in buying the
Chicago Cubs. The bidding, which includes a stake in Comcast
SportsNet, could exceed $1 billion, according to some analysts.
The success of Cuban in turning the
Dallas Mavericks into a top NBA team, have always linked the
billionaire with purchases of other pro teams in the country.
Last year Cuban publicly announced that if the Cubs went on the
market - he would be quite interested in purchasing the
legendary franchise.
