Gregory Havret
beats Mickelson at the Scottish Open playoff
At the end, the Scottish Open
had to be decided through playoff, Phil Mickelson bogeyed for
Havret victory.
Two bogeys led to the lost of Phil Mickelson - the first one put
him on a playoff against Gregory Havret, and the second one gave
the win away. Mickelson was going for a first international
title since 1993, but a poor drive at the 72nd led to a replay
of the hole by him and Havret for the title.
At the replay Mickelson bogeyed again
and Gregory Havret from France won the 2007 Scottish Open. Ernie
Els, the winner of the 2000 and 2003 Scottish Open finished
third after four straight birdies on the 18th.
