Tiger Woods wins
at the Firestone
Tiger Woods sealed his victory
at the Firestone with 8 shots ahead of competition.
Tiger Woods proved the major contender for the US PGA
Championship next week, after winning the Bridgestone
Invitational 8 shots ahead of the competition. In a typical
Tiger Woods style, the world #1 began the tournament shy tying
for third in the first two rounds. But in the final day the
Tiger bit the competition, finishing the fourth round 5 under
par for a total of 8-under 272.
Rory Sabbatini, who was leading the first two
rounds of the Bridgestone Invitational, did not manage to hold
on to the lead and finished tied for second with Justine Rose,
both with even par 280.
Tiger Woods managed to scare some of the
sportsbooks but remained favorite to win throughout the
Firestone with odds 7/4, as posted at
Bodog Sports (new window).
Bodog has published the odds on the upcoming 2007 U.S. PGA
Championship, where Tiger Woods is the favorite with odds 7/2.
