Ryan Seacrest will host the Emmys in September

The host of "American Idol" Ryan Seacrest will also introduce the 59th Primetime Emmy Awards.

Ryan Seacrest will host the Emmys in September The Fox network has decided to make Ryan Seacrest the host of this year's Emmy Awards, which will air on September 16th. According to the network, Seacrest does a great job in attracting younger audience, as shown by the American Idol ratings. Fox is also trying to beat the NBC 16 million Emmy viewers last year, and using Ryan Seacrest is part of the plan.

This year's Emmys will be held on September 16th, and HBO is expected to take the bigger piece of the pie. "The Sopranos" broke the record for most nominated series at 15, and “Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee” with its 17 nominations leads among all the programs.
