Pete Doherty due
in court after arrest
The 28-year-old Babyshambles
frontman Pete Doherty is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday
to answer on charges.
Pete
Doherty will appear in court today to face charges of breaching
his bail conditions. Doherty was held in custody at an east
London police station overnight ahead of his appearance at West
London Magistrates' Court after he was arrested on Monday for
suspected drug possession, while returning from playing at the V
Festival.
The legal troubles for Pete Doherty
continue to pile up and jail time is now a real possibility. He
is currently awaiting sentencing for a drugs charge in
September, when the singer had admitted driving illegally while
in possession of a number of drugs in London.
At the initial court appearance, he was
told by the judge that his behavior during August would
determine whether he faced a prison or community sentence.
