And in Group E, Michael Owen proclaimed his return for the English team with two quick goals in the 7' and 31'. A goal by Ferdinand in the 84' completed the classic 3-0 victory against Russia at Wembley on Wednesday. The victory lifted England to second place in Group E, two points ahead of Russia and three points behind the leader Croatia.
