Looking at the betting lines at the popular
online sportsbook
Bookmaker, as expected we find
the 49ers a favorite to win the game, the line on the
49ers set at -235, while the Redskins will start with underdog
money line +195 on an unlikely upset tonight. At another U.S.
sportsbook,
Bovada Sports, we find the line
a bit different. There San Francisco is still favorite, but the
line is at -240, while Washington holds +200 money line to win
the game tonight. The San Francisco 49ers vs. Washington
Redskins point spread is currently at -6 points calk the
49ers and the over-under is set at 47 points. Keep in mind that
stats show us that Washington is 2-3-2 against the spread in its
last 7 games when playing San Francisco, but the 49ers have
covered the point spread 5 times in their last 7 games. The
total has gone OVER in 4 of the Redskins' last 5 games and OVER
in 15 of San Francisco's last 21 games.
Injuries may become a big issue for the
teams, however. While the Redskins have listed only tight end
Jordan Reed as out for the Monday night football game, defensive
end Stephen Bowen, safety Jose Gumbs and running back Darrel
Young remain questionable for Washington. Good news for the
49ers is that starting quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been
upgraded to probable, following a back injury, along with
running back Frank Gore, linebacker Dan Skuta and DT Justin
Smith. But the San Francisco 49ers will play without corner
Tarell Brown and wide receiver Quinton Patton. Another WD, Mario
Manningham, along with tight end Garrett Celek and defensive
tackle Ray McDonald remain questionable for the San Francisco -
Washington game tonight.
