New Orleans Saints vs.
Atlanta Falcons: Line and point spread
It's time for Thursday night football and NFL Week 12
opener will see the New Orleans Saints travelling to meet the
Atlanta Falcons, here you will get information about the latest
line, point spread and betting odds on the football game. The
New Orleans Saints (8-2) have put last season behind them and
with coach Sean Payton back at New Orleans, the team is looking
forward to the playoffs. It appears that tonight they will have
an easy one, facing the Atlanta Falcons (2-8) who are miles away
from their last season's great performance and on a 4-game
losing streak. The game is clearly a must-win for New Orleans,
who are just a game ahead of the Panthers and their 6-game
winning streak. Meanwhile the Falcons are holding a dismal 2-8
record to find themselves at the bottom of NFC South.
Once again the odds makers fail to agree on
this NFC South football game. We visited both
Bookmaker and
Bovada Sports, two of the most popular USA sportsbooks, just to
find a big difference in both the line and the point spread on
the New Orleans Atlanta game. Here is what we found: Starting
with Bookmaker, we see the Saints odds favorite to win the
Thursday night football game with -400 line, while the line on
the Falcons is +320. At Bovada, however, New Orleans is still
favorite to win and extend their winning streak to 3, but here
the Saints line is -420 and the Falcons line is +310. Clearly
regardless of which bet you make, there is a big difference in
the payout depending on the sportsbook you choose. The New
Orleans Saints vs. Atlanta Falcons point spread is at -8 chalk
the Saints at Bookmaker, yet -9 in favor of New Orleans at
Bovada Sports. One thing the odds makers agree on is the
over/under, the total expected at both sportsbooks is at 53
points even.
Looking at the betting stats for the New
Orleans at Atlanta game we see that New Orleans is 2-5 against
the spread in its last 7 games on the road, yet Atlanta is 1-5
against the spread in its last 6 games when playing New Orleans.
Also, New Orleans is 5-1 straight up in its last 6 games when
playing Atlanta and the Flacons have beaten the money line just
twice in their last six games at home. Keep in mind that the
total has gone UNDER in 4 of New Orleans's last 5 games when
playing on the road against the Atlanta Falcons.
For the Falcons defensive end Malliciah
Goodman is the only one listed as out for the Week 12 game
against the Saints, but defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux,
tight end Tony Gonzalez, safety Zeke Motta and backup
quarterback Dominique Davis have all remain questionable for the
home game against New Orleans tonight. But it's even worse, as
far as injuries are concerned, at the Saints camp. Corner Jabari
Greer is out, but listed as questionable are cornerbacks Chris
Carr and Rod Sweeting, defensive end Akiem Hicks, running back
Darren Sproles, as well as tight end Benjamin Watson, DT Tyrunn
Walker and guards Jahri Evans and Ben Grubbs. Lot's of injuries
on both teams for the football game tonight. The New Orleans
Saints vs. Atlanta Falcons game will start tonight at 8:25 pm
EST at the Georgia Dome.
