Oscars 2010: Latest Oscars odds posted on winners The Kentucky Derby of the movie industry, the Oscars Awards, is tonight and we have the latest odds posted by the online bookmakers on who the winners will be on the 2010 Academy Awards. The Oscars date and time - March 7th 2010 and the show will start at 8:00pm EST; you can watch it live on ABC with their coverage beginning at 6:00pm from the Red Carpet. Millions of people all over the world will be watching  the Oscars tonight but a large number will also place wagers on who will be the winner for their selective category. Yes, the online bookmakers continue the tradition of posting betting odds on the Oscars and the 2010 Academy Awards will be no different. So without further ado, let's take a look at the 2010 Oscars predictions posted by one of the most reputable online bookmakers, Bodog Sports.

Of course, we will begin with the most anticipated category this year - the Oscar for the Best Picture. It was a two-horse race when the early odds on the 82nd Academy Awards were initially posted a couple of weeks ago and even though it remains that way, we have a change in the favorites. At Bodog the favorite movie to win the 2010 Oscars Award for the Best Picture right now is "The Hurt Locker" sitting on odds 20/27! The picture replaced the previous favorite - "Avatar" which is now paying on even odds 1/1/ to win the Best Picture Award. Big shift in odds and public opinion, considering that initially Avatar was the big favorite paying on 1/3 and The Hurt Locker was trailing with 5/4 odds to win the Oscars this year. Here is the full list of odds to win the 2010 Oscars for Best Picture, as posted by Bodog Sports:

A Serious Man - 75/1
An Education - 75/1
Avatar - 1/1
District 9 - 100/1
Inglourious Basterds - 9/1
Precious - 30/1
The Blind Side - 50/1
The Hurt Locker - 20/27
Up - 75/1
Up in the Air - 25/1

But despite the change of favorite to win the Oscars for Best Picture, the race remains pretty close to call. And here are some other odds on the tonight's Oscars. We have Jeff Bridges (Crazy Heart) as the ultimate favorite to win the 82nd Academy Awards in the Best Actor category, sitting on short odds 1/9, i.e. you have to bet $9 to win just $1. Bridges is followed by George Clooney  for his voice in Up in the Air and odds 10/1, along with Morgan Freeman (Invictus) with 12/1 odds to win the Oscar for Best Actor. The Best Actress Academy Award will likely go to Sandra Bullock (The Blind Side), according to the bookmaker, who has placed Bullock atop with odds 4/11. Competition for the Best Actress at the 2010 Oscars will come from Meryl Streep (Julie & Julia) listed at 9/4 to win and Gabourey Sidibe at 17/2 for her role in Precious. Wondering about Mo'Nique (Precious) and her chances to win the Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars 2010? Don't - the bookmaker has listed Mo'Nique with the whopping odds of -1600 to win the Award, i.e. people have to bet $1600 to win just a measly $100.
