Crystal Palace
sacked manager Peter Taylor
The struggling Championship
team Crystal Palace have axed manager Peter Taylor, Neil Warnock
most likely to get the job.
The
Eagle's chairman Simon Jordan seems to be fed up with the poor
performance of the team under the command of Peter Taylor and an
official statement on the club's website read today: "Crystal
Palace Football Club announce that Peter Taylor's contract has
been terminated with immediate effect."
Taking only 10 points from the last 10
games, it was only a matter of time before Crystal Palace gave
Taylor the boot. And failure to beat Hull City was the last
straw and Peter Taylor found himself unemployed. He took over
the club in June last year, after the departure of Iain Dowie
and back then the hopes were high for a Premier League spot in
2007. Not only Crystal Palace failed to achieve, but the team is
currently sitting 5 spots from the very bottom of the
Championship table. Rumors are already emerging of who
will take Taylor's job and the bookmakers have even posted odds
on the next Crystal Palace manager. So far the most likely
suspect is Neil Warnock, other names mentioned include Paul
Jewell and Glenn Hoddle.
