Dolphins place
Trent Green on the injury reserve list
This football season is over
for the Dolphins quarterback Trent Green, retirement likely.
The
Miami Dolphins placed quarterback Trent Green on the injury
reserve list today, effectively ending the season for the
injured QB. Trent Green, was suffered a Grade 3 concussion (the
most severe) during the loss to the Houston Texans on the 7th of
this month. After tests the doctors were concerned with a
long-term injuries and decided to play it safe, placing Green on
the injury reserve. "At this point, this is the best thing
for Trent and the team. The doctors have prescribed rest for
now. No long-term decisions regarding Trent's future have been
made," said head coach Cam Cameron.
Trent Green said he had not made a
decision for the next season yet, but Green considered a
retirement last year after a concussion took him out for eight
weeks, while still playing for the Chiefs. Cleo Lemon will start
for the Dolphins tomorrow against the Patriots, but rookie John
Beck will likely start getting more playtime and experience in
the weeks to come.
