with a last-second touchdown
Auburn fans disappointed after
a touchdown in the last second of the game gave LSU the victory.

a point behind Auburn (5-3), LSU (7-1) scored a touchdown with
one second remaining in the game to win the Week 8 college
football match-up 24-30. LSU lost against Kentucky last week to
give up the No.1 ranking and drop down to No.5 and at the
beginning of the game against Auburn it looked as if the LSU
will drop down even more. After a tied 7-7 first quarter Auburn
added another 10 points before the first half and the teams went
to the locker rooms with a score of 17-7. In the 3rd quarter LSU
managed to return 6 points after two field goals by David for
17-13. Two minutes into the fourth and LSU took the lead after
Hester caught for a 5-yard touchdown. LSU field goal followed
four minutes later to spread the lead to 6 points. But Auburn's
Smith caught for a 3-yard touchdown to take back the lead with
three and a half minutes left on the clock. Demetrius Byrd
became the hero for LSU after catching a 22-yard pass by Matt
Flynn with enough time left only for the extra point.
LSU entered the field -525 favorite to
win the game, but missed to cover the spread of -10 at
Bookmaker. The final score of the Auburn vs. LSU was OVER the
