point spread: Broncos vs. Chiefs, Rams vs. Saints
The Week 10 football point
spread and odds preview of the games Denver Broncos vs. Kansas
City Chiefs and St. Louis Rams vs. New Orleans Saints.
We
start this edition of the point spread and betting odds preview
with the game between the Denver Broncos (3-5) and the
Kansas City Chiefs (4-4). The Chiefs are listed as favorite
to win the game with odds -170 at
Bookmaker and the Broncos are
posted with odds +150. The point spread on the Denver Broncos
vs. Kansas City Chiefs is currently sitting at -3 points
chalk the Chiefs with total at 37.5 points. Betting trends on
these two football teams indicate that Denver is 1-9 against the
spread in its last 10 games and Kansas City is 4-1 ATS in its
last 5 games when playing Denver. The total has gone OVER in 4
of Kansas City's last 6 games when playing at home against
Denver.
The Denver Broncos lost last week
against the Lions 7-44 and quarterback Jay Cutler had a limited
practice on Wednesday and remains uncertain for the game against
the Chiefs. Running back Travis Henry missed yesterday's
practice and wide receiver Javon Walker is out for Week 10.
Missing these top players could spell a disaster for the
Broncos. Running back Larry Johnson missed practice with the
Chiefs, but wide receiver Eddie Kennison did a full one
yesterday and Kansas City showed much better game last week
against the Packers, a game they lost 33-22, but performed
better than the Broncos against the Lions. Overall, if Jay
Cutler is no-show on Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs will easily
cover the -3 points spread.
On Sunday the New Orleans Saints
(4-4) will have a chance to turn their record around, when they
welcome the winless St. Louis Rams (0-8). The odds
makers are going crazy over this game, offering big odds and the
biggest point spread we've seen in a while on NFL games. At
Bookmaker the Saints are the
ultimate favorite with odds -650 and the Rams are underdog at
+525. The point spread on the St. Louis Rams vs. New Orleans
Saints game is posted at -11.5 points chalk the Saints (-12
points at
Bodog Sports) and the total is
sitting at 46 points. St. Louis is 1-7 against the spread in its
last 8 games and New Orleans is 3-8 ATS in its last 11 games.
Saints running back Reggie Bush missed
Wednesday practice, but he's expected to join the team on
Sunday. Other players who sat out yesterday's practice in New
Orleans were DT Brian Young and DE Charles Grant. At the Rams
camp wide receiver Dante Hall is recovering well from ankle
injury and did full practice, RB Steven Jackson has a limited
one and TE Aaron Walker missed Wednesday practice. Overall, the
Saints will be able to beat the Rams without much hustle and
covering -12 point spread is quite possible.
