Boy George booked
for chaining a male escort
Singer/DJ Boy George has been
arrested and charged with false imprisonment, says London
police.
Boy George, real name George O'Dowd, has been arrested on
Monday and charged with false imprisonment, according tot he
London police. A 28-year-old male escort is accusing Boy
George of chaining him to a wall at his apartment in Shoreditch,
east London. "George O'Dowd, 47, a musician of Ravey Street,
EC2, is charged with the false imprisonment of a 28-year-old in
Ravey Street on April 28," was the brief statement issued by
Scotland Yard. Boy George has been released on bail and is
scheduled to appear before Thames magistrates' court on November
22nd.
In August of last year, Boy George was
sentenced in New York to a week of community service, after
falsely reporting burglary in his apartment in Manhattan. When
the cops arrived, they found cocaine instead of a burglar.
