favorite for Newcastle job, England boss odds tied
Alan Shearer has been made the
odds favorite to be the next Newcastle coach, England job tied
between Mourinho and Capello.
With
Sam Allardyce under pressure at Newcastle, William Hill have
shortened the odds about him seeing the season out as Newcastle
manager from 13/8 to 5/4 (4/7 to survive) and installed Alan
Shearer as 5/4 favorite to succeed him as permanent boss of the
club. Allardyce is now 5/2 second favorite with Hills to be the
next Premiership manager to leave his job, behind 9/4 favorite
Gareth Southgate. Hills make Lawrie Sanchez 6/1 third favorite
and also offer 7/1 Benitez, Redknapp; 9/1 O'Neill; 20/1 Coppell;
Keane. Hills offer 12/1 that no more managers will depart this
season. Hills make Martin Jol 7/2 second favorite to succeed
Allardyce, and also offer 8/1 Chris Coleman; 9/1 Mark Hughes;
9/1 Nigel Pearson; 12/1 Gerrard Houllier; 14/1 Guus Hiddink;
Glenn Hoddle; 16/1 Jose Mourinho; 20/1 Steve McClaren.

Bet 365 has tied the odds on
the next England manager. Jose Mourinho and Fabio Capello now
share the leading odds of 9/4. Martin O'Neill comes third to be
offered the England gig with odds 8/1, followed by Jurgen
Klinsmann and Felipe Scolari with odds 16/1. The odds on Alan
Shearer to become the next England manager are 20/1.
