NFL Point Spread: Cowboys vs. Redskins, Vikings vs. Broncos for the playoffs

The point spread and betting lines on the NFL Week 17 games Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Redskins and Minnesota Vikings vs. Denver Broncos.

NFL Point Spread: Cowboys vs. Redskins, Vikings vs. Broncos for the playoffs Our NFL Week 17 point spread and betting line previews continue with the battles for the last remaining NFC playoff spot. The major contenders for the 6th NFC playoff wildcard are the Washington Redskins and the Minnesota Vikings, who are currently tied. The Redskins will clinch the spot with a win on Sunday, after Washington beat the Vikings 32-21 last week to give them the head-to-head advantage. The Redskins could still statistically go to the playoffs if they lose to the Cowboys on Sunday, but the Vikings and the Saints would have to lose their games, as well. With so much riding on this game for the Washington Redskins (8-7), they are now big favorite to beat the Dallas Cowboys (13-2), who have secured division and home field advantage. At the online sportsbook Bodog Sports, the point spread on the Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Redskins game is sitting at -9 points chalk the Redskins. The betting line on the Redskins is the biggest they have had since Thanksgiving at -450 on winning the Sunday football game. And the Dallas Cowboys will be underdog with line +325 for the first time since the October game against the Patriots.

Cowboys' quarterback Tony Romo is expected to play on Sunday, although it's highly unlikely that Romo will play the entire game, backup Brad Johnson is expected to get some playtime as well and wide receiver Terrell Owens will miss the Week 17 game. Meanwhile the Redskins will come out full force, missing only quarterback Jason Campbell, lost for the season with knee injury a while back, but backup Todd Collins has lead the team to three victories and is suitable replacement for Campbell. Keep in mind that Dallas is 2-4 against the spread in its last 6 games, while Washington is 4-2 against the spread in its last 6 games. The total has gone OVER in 6 of Dallas's last 9 games when playing on the road against the Washington Redskins.

Also on Sunday the Minnesota Vikings (8-7) will visit the Denver Broncos (6-9) and only a win could keep their playoff dreams alive. A victory against the Broncos and Redskins losing to the Cowboys is the only scenario working out a playoff wildcard for the Vikings. Minnesota is also the favorite to win its football game on Sunday, at Bodog Sports the point spread on the Minnesota Vikings vs. Denver Broncos game is sitting at -3 points chalk the Vikings. The betting line on the Vikings is -165 and the Broncos will play as underdog with line +145. Minnesota's wide receivers Sidney Rice and Bobby Wade remain questionable for the game against the Broncos, as well as DT Pat Williams and CB Antoine Winfield. Wide receiver Brandon Stokley and tight end Daniel Graham are questionable for Denver, but Broncos' quarterback Jay Cutler, defensive end John Engelberger, wide receiver Javon Walker and safety John Lynch were all upgraded to probable and will likely be a game-day decision. Keep in mind that Minnesota is 4-2 against the spread in its last 6 games and Denver is 1-4 against the spread in its last 5 games.
