British singer Amy Winehouse's request for a visa has been denied by the U.S. Embassy.

Her publicity firm issued the following statement, also omitting the reason for the visa denial: "Amy has been progressing well since entering a rehabilitation clinic two weeks ago and although disappointed with the decision has accepted the ruling and will be concentrating on her recovery."

Amy Winehouse stands nominated for 5 Grammy awards this year, second only to hip-hop artist Kanye West. Although Winehouse will not be able to travel to the U.S. for the Grammys, the organizers are preparing a live feed from London in order to give her a chance to perform on Sunday. At this time, however, is still unknown if Amy Winehouse will accept the live-feed offer.
