Floyd Mayweather
Jr. on WWE’s WrestleMania XXIV
Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. to
wrestle on WWE's "WrestleMania XXIV" in March.
After
watching him move on "Dancing with the Stars", fans of champion
boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. and fans of wrestling will have a
common ground on March 30th, when Mayweather takes a shot at pro
wrestler Big Show as part of WWE’s “WrestleMania XXIV” at Citrus
Bowl in Orlando, Florida. “It’s entertainment. You have a
chance to just be you and do what you want to do,"
Mayweather said, after repeatedly tossing $100, $50 and $20
bills into the crowd at Satples Center during the announcement.
"Wrestling takes care of business right on the spot. Whatever
they say they’re going to do, they do it right on the spot.
There’s no waiting three, four, five months. Quick results,
quick money. Quick big money, too.”
And big money it is - Floyd Mayweather
Jr. will pocket $20 million for his wrestling match against Big
Show. His manager Leonard Ellerbee and WWE executive Shane
McMahon confirmed Mayweather’s eight-figure payday for the
outdoor match to be shown on live on pay-per-view.
