American Idol: David Archuleta big favorite to win

American Idol: David Archuleta big favorite to win Total of eight American Idol contestants have been eliminated so far and the odds makers are finally joining on the action. On Thursday Jason Yeager, Alexandrea Lushington, Alaina Whitake and Robbie Carrico were voted off the American Idol, leaving only 16 contenders. And the online bookmaker BodogLife posted the odds on winning the popular reality competition, following the elimination round. At the bookmaker, David Archuleta is now the absolute favorite to win American Idol 7 with odds 11/10. The bookie is so certain that Archuleta will win, they have added additional props just for him - people can now wager if David Archuleta would win, surprisingly "yes" pays out on -110 and "no" pays out on favorite odds -130.

Michael Johns comes second by odds to win the American Idol, listed at BodogLife with 7/1 odds. Johns is closely followed by Carly Smithson at 15/2, while Ramiele Malubay and Brooke White are both listed with odds 9/1. The underdog of the American Idol this week is Luke Menard with odds to win at 125/1, followed by Amanda Overmyer and Chikezie Eze both sharing odds of 75/1 to win the seventh season of the American Idol. Keep in mind that the winner of American Idol 7 is still favorite to be a male contestant with -250 line, while a female singer would pay on +170.
