Florida teacher Stephanie Ragusa charged for having sex with student

Florida teacher Stephanie Ragusa charged for having sex with student Stephanie Ragusa, 28-year-old Florida middle school teacher, became the latest sad statistic after being charged for having sex with a 14-year-old student. Hillsborough County authorities arrested and booked into the Orient Road Jail Thursday night Stephanie Ragusa, and charged the middle school teacher with having sex with a 14-year-old student.

According to reports from the local Sheriff's Department, Stephanie Ragusa had a sexual relationship with with a 14-year-old boy at Davidsen Middle School, a relation which began all the way back in October of 2006 and lasted almost an year. Investigators said the sexual acts happened in her car and her apartment during the day and also at night. Police says that the young boy was not a student of Ragusa, but attended Davidsen Middle School while she taught there. Stephanie Ragusa is currently teaching at the Martinez Middle School in Tampa, Florida, where she was already on paid leave for an unrelated matter.

According to reports, the Davidsen Middle School official got a whiff of a possible sexual relation between the 14-year-old boy and former teacher Stephanie Ragusa, which led to an investigation. Authorities say that during an interview of the victim, detectives got enough evidence to bring charges against the teacher. Stephanie Ragusa is facing five counts of lewd and lascivious battery.
