American Idol
Results: Michael Johns voted off the show
The
results from the American Idol voting were announced last night
and Michael Johns was the singer voted off the popular reality
competition. The Australian-born singer was eliminated from the
American Idol, shocking judges and fans alike. "I'm going to
miss you. You're a very, very good singer and a very, very nice
guy," Idol judge Simon Cowell told Johns after the
elimination results were in. It was quite surprising to see
Michael Johns leave American Idol, considering he was one of the
favorite singers to win the show, listed with odds 15/2 at the
online bookmaker
BodogLife, only Archuleta and
Cook had better odds with 13/10 and 3/2 respectively. The bookie
may look into changing the odds offered on the winner of
American Idol, considering Michael Johns, Carly Smithson, and
Syesha Mercado were at the bottom three this week, while
underdogs Kristy Lee Cook (125/1) and Jason Castro (25/1) got a
worry-free passage to the next episode.
Before the elimination, host Ryan
Seacrest told the audience that "Idol Gives Back" had garnered
over $60 million thus far and reminded viewers that donations
were still being accepted. According to reports, over 31 million
votes were cast this week, making last night the season's
highest so far. After the last night's elimination results, we
are down to only 7 American Idol contestants, visit
BodogLife to see the latest
