American Idol Results: Brooke White voted off the Idol The American Idol Top 5 results show was tonight and without any surprise Brooke White was voted off. Idol host Ryan Seacrest revealed that over forty-five million votes were cast for the finalists and one of them was home-bound. First we start with Jason Castro, who was told he is safe from elimination, followed by the American Idol favorite David Archuleta, who was also safe. Naturally the other top performer, David Cook, was also safe, and Brooke White and Syesha Mercado found themselves at the bottom two. No surprise whatsoever, considering the odds makers at the online sportsbook BodogSports had the two as underdogs, sharing odds of winning the Idol at 30/1. Then the Idol results show was "paused" for performances by Natasha Bedingfield and Neil Diamond, then it was time for the American Idol final results - Brooke White was voted off. Quite boring tonight without Paula Abdul's frantic, "Just for the record, the rumors, they are not true. She’s part of our family, and we love her, so a round of applause for Paula. And I think Simon still wants to hook up with her," Ryan Seacrest said, which was pretty much to only commentary on the last night's mishap.

Now with Brooke White eliminated from the American Idol, we are down to just four performers. Odds currently have Archuleta as the top favorite at 5/6, followed by Cook at 5/4. Syesha Mercado is still the underdog and landing at the bottom two is all we need to predict that Syesha will be voted off during the next American Idol results show, likely followed by Jason Castro. The bookies are hardly ever wrong.
