Euro 2008 Final
Result: Spain is the winner
The Euro 2008 final game is over and the result is - Spain
is the winner, 0-1 against Germany, thanks to the goal by
Fernando Torres in the 33 minute. Torres put the final touch,
lifting the ball over German goalkeeper Lehmann, after a clever
pass from Xavi, the one and only goal in the Euro 2008 Final.
Overall the game was clean, only Ballack, who declared himself
fit right before the game, and Spanish goalkeeper Kuranyi were
booked with yellow cards after a heated exchange in the early
part of the game. The odds on the Euro had the Spanish football
team a small favourite at 5/4 at the online sportsbook
Sportingbet, while the Germans entered the Euro 2008
final game with odds 2/1. Interesting to note is the fact that
Germany and Spain were the two favourite teams to win Euro 2008
before the start of the competition - Germany was 7/2, while
Spain was 11/2. Congratulations to all winners!
