Jaguars' Matt
Jones arrested on drug charge, caught with cocaine
Yet
another NFL player arrested, this time it was Matt Jones, the
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver. According to police reports,
Matt Jones was booked early Thursday on a felony drug charges in
Arkansas, after the cops found him cutting what appears to be
cocaine inside a car. Mat Jones and two other men were inside a
parked Toyota 4Runner in the early hours on Thursday and when an
officer approached the vehicle he saw the Jaguars' WR cutting up
white powder in his lap. The policeman drew out his gun ordering
Jones out of the car, after the wide receiver did not
immediately show his hands. Police say they found a jar with
possible marijuana residue inside the car and a plastic bag of
what was likely cocaine. According to the police, Matt Jones
admitted he had cocaine. The other two occupants of the SUV were
also booked, both on misdemeanor drug charges. "We're trying
to investigate that now. We don't have all the facts. We will
comment on that once we have all the facts," Jacksonville
Jaguars owner Wayne Weaver was quoted.
